  • Top 7 Sky Bars in Düsseldorf: Stunning Views and Best Cocktails

Do you want to spend a night in Düsseldorf in a different way, rather than getting caught in the chaos of the Altstadt? How about going to one of these 7 sky bars in Düsseldorf and enjoying a unique view of the city while sipping your favorite cocktail?

In today’s article, I’m going to tell you about the top 7 sky bars in Düsseldorf while focusing on my top 3 choices. But first, let me introduce myself…

I’m Rami, a travel content creator from Rome. I’ve had a special relationship with Düsseldorf since living here for six months as an Erasmus exchange student. I loved it. As a traveler, I enjoy exploring cities during the day and observing them at night from the top of a rooftop bar while listening to deep house music. 🎶

Sky bars are my bread and butter, so you can rest assured that the following ones are absolutely the best in town.

Ready to check out the best sky bars in Düsseldorf?

Let’s start with the first one, which has the best atmosphere.

The Paris Club (25 Hours Hotel)

About a 20-minute walk from the Düsseldorf main train station, it’s hard to miss this hotel with its huge 25 Hours sign on the facade. Once in the foyer, you can head straight to the elevators and go up to the 17th floor to access their sky bar, “The Paris Club.” The subdued lights give this bar the ideal atmosphere you’re looking for in a place like this.

In my opinion, the music in a sky bar shouldn’t be too loud because I want to be able to talk with the people I’m with without having to scream like a death metal singer or look at their ears rather than their eyes.

Fortunately, The Paris Club was very satisfying in this regard. The volume of the music was perfect, and I could interact with my friend without any problem.

Regarding the aerial view, The Paris Club offers a stunning view of the city center and beyond. At night, you can see Düsseldorf shining with its lights. The bar also has a terrace with some tables and seats for those who smoke. Among the three bars, this one is located on the highest floor and wins for the best aerial view.

The View (INNSiDE Hotel)

Next, the best from the perspective of prices.

Located on the 16th floor of the INNSiDE Hotel by Melia, The View overlooks the whole Medienhafen area, the fanciest side of Düsseldorf. This sky bar is more spacious than The Paris Club, so there is more opportunity to find a nice spot even during busy hours, but it lacks an outside terrace.

There are no subdued lights here; the atmosphere is more like an upscale restaurant than a typical sky lounge. The music was a bit too loud, but I was sitting next to the DJ, so I shouldn’t really complain.

From here, you get a unique perspective of the Medienhafen, and it was hard for me not to keep gazing at the view from the window. However, considering the location of the INNSiDE Hotel, you will only be able to see a portion of Düsseldorf, not the whole city.

What really surprised me about this sky bar were the prices of the cocktails. Compared to other places I’ve been to, drinks here are quite affordable and less expensive than in the Altstadt, despite being in the fanciest area of the city on the 16th floor of an upscale hotel.

Ruby Luna Hotel

Last but not least, we have the best sky bar for sunset seekers.

Located just a few meters from the Altstadt, this hotel welcomes you with its inviting and stylish bar on the ground floor.

But the best is yet to come…

Head to the elevators and reach the 12th floor. From there, take the stairs to the 13th floor, and you’ll find yourself on a beautiful, open-air terrace.

Given the location of the hotel, from the terrace, you get an impressive 360° view of the city if you go from the one side to the other.

I sat on the side that overlooks the Rhine Tower, and it was amazing to see the Rhine River from up above. I was lucky that the sky was clear when visiting, and I was able to witness a beautiful sunset while sipping my drink.

This is definitely the best place for an aerial view during the day and to watch the sunset if you go on a sunny evening with clear skies.

The music was pretty quiet, which is another great plus. The only downside is that the selection of drinks is a bit limited compared to the other two sky bars mentioned above.

Also, keep in mind that the Ruby Luna rooftop bar closes pretty early (10 pm).

So, these are the three sky bars with the best aerial views that I can recommend visiting. However, these are not the only ones in the city. You can also check out:

  • Otto’s Skybar: Located on the left side of the Rhine River, on the 19th floor of the Lindner Hotel Düsseldorf Seestern.
  • The Golden: Located in the prestigious KO59 Hotel, this bar is always quite busy since many locals visit it too.
  • The Roof: Located on the 6th floor of the b’mine hotel in the Flingern area, this bar offers eight terraces where you can get an unmatched view over some hidden spots of Düsseldorf.

👋 Hey, I’m Jenna!

The voice behind Life in Düsseldorf

I’m a German Canadian who moved to Düsseldorf over a decade ago, and like many of you, I had a million questions when I arrived. From trying to figure out how health insurance works in Germany to wondering where the best bakery is (spoiler: it’s Bülle 🍞), I’ve been through it all.

So I created Life in Düsseldorf to help make your transition smoother — whether you’re moving to Germany, already living here, or just curious about life abroad. My mission? To make you feel a little less overwhelmed and a lot more at home.
