New Year’s Eve in Düsseldorf (or Silvester as the German’s call it) is fast approaching and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably in shambles trying to figure out where to go, what to do and how not to spend 150 Euro on dinner and an NYE countdown.

So in order to save you time and energy, I’ve put together a list of the top events happening in Dusseldorf this New Year’s Eve (2016 leading into 2017) which include the prices, locations, and links to where you can buy tickets.

Note: We created this post for 2016/2017, but many of these locations mentioned below host parties year after year! Just double-check on their websites and you should be able to find the perfect celebration for you and your friends!

STILL NEED TO DO A BEER RUN? The Craft Beer Shop online is your go-to! Otherwise, there’s still time to hit up REWE, EDEKA, NETTO, or any other local grocery store (many of them have online delivery services as well)!

👋 Hey, I’m Jenna!

The voice behind Life in Düsseldorf

I’m a German Canadian who moved to Düsseldorf over a decade ago, and like many of you, I had a million questions when I arrived. From trying to figure out how health insurance works in Germany to wondering where the best bakery is (spoiler: it’s Bülle 🍞), I’ve been through it all.

So I created Life in Düsseldorf to help make your transition smoother — whether you’re moving to Germany, already living here, or just curious about life abroad. My mission? To make you feel a little less overwhelmed and a lot more at home.
