The Düsseldorf Fish Market has been around for more than 20 years and is a popular event that takes place once a month in the summer, spring, and fall (8 times). The event takes place along the Rhine and is often visited by more than 10,000 people each month.
There are around 100 different dealers, restaurants, and businesses in attendance offering up tons of unique foods, products, and services. You’ll find everything from seafood and fish to homemade crafts and sweets. To be honest, while it might be called the “Fish Market,” there actually really isn’t all that much fish to buy and taste. If you’re looking for fish, I’d head to a high-quality grocery store in Düsseldorf like Edeka or perhaps even check out the fresh fish in Carlsplatz.
There are a number of different food stalls and food trucks, but many of them are cuisines and delicacies from all over the world. That’s not to say it isn’t a great event, it’s a wonderful way to enjoy the day, get outside with your friends, and indulge!
If you’re looking for some more summer fun, you’ll also have to make way to the Rheinkirmes (carnival) in July for some fun and games!

The Düsseldorf Fish Market looks like a great fish market. Jenna, your life style is also attractive as you write- “We spend our mornings writing content and our afternoons interviewing locals, participating in forums and calling businesses”.
