RhineBuzz Takes You Behind The Scenes Of Düsseldorf

on
May 9, 2016

Have you ever seen an exhibition like this in Düsseldorf? Probably not. That’s because we went behind the scenes of Dusseldorf and took a private tour of Emil Schult’s underground Krypta. The Krypta is located in the Robert Schumann School of Music and was created between 1995 – 2000. While my appreciation and knowledge for art is quite limited, this piece really draws you into another dimension. Before going into this secret hub, we put on overly massive slippers and made our way into a dark room covered with stars. As the lights went on, Emil Schult shared his stories about the piece and then ended the tour with an emotional and mysterious soundtrack from Stockhausen.

This really was behind the scenes of Dusseldorf!

Behind the scenes of Dusseldorf

I know, you didn’t click on this post to have a history lesson, but you get the idea.

I found about RhineBuzz through Caroline West, who is the brains behind finding these unique tours and meet-ups throughout the city. There’s constantly something new coming up on her agenda and I’m always updated directly from the Facebook group. I also wrote a little bit about discovering hidden gems of the city with RhineBuzz on another post too.

So, if you’re one of those people who stick to their district of Düsseldorf and explore nothing but the top ten things on TripAdvisor, I hope that this post will serve as a way to help inspire you to do something different.

Düsseldorf is such a beautiful city just waiting to be explored, why just dabble your feet at the front door?

Interested?

Sorry, a too little too late.

Emil Schult does not hold public tours, nor does he have a scheduled itinerary of when these tours take place. Like I said before, RhineBuzz really does get behind the scenes of Dusseldorf and allows us to explore some of the city’s most unique places that have never been seen before.

    Hi,

I recently had the opportunity to be at your lecture at one of the events held by the Expat Service Desk.

I would want to offer my services as a photographer if needed for Rhine Buzz or Amazing Düsseldorf.

Here you can see some of my material: http://www.photo-picturesque.com

    Cheers,

      Hey there Manuel!

While I’m not the owner of RhineBuzz or Amazing Düsseldorf, I’m sure they would be pleased to hear from you! ????
Fiona Leonard (RhineBuzz) and Garry R. Hurskainen-Green (Amazing Capitals) can both be found on Facebook.

      All the best,

      Jenna
