We gather hundreds of events for you to pick and choose from each month and share them on our Facebook events page for you, but sometimes sifting through an entire month of events just doesn’t cut it. We get that!

Mieke carefully selects some of the coolest, most international events that are taking place within the week and shares them every Monday with her thriving group of almost 2,000 international girls in the city. Now she’s letting you in on her secrets so that you can get busy having some fun this week.

St. Martin is based on a Bible story. Saint Martin of Tours was a Roman soldier who was baptized as an adult and became a monk. The most famous legend concerning him was that he had once cut his cloak in half to share with a beggar during a snowstorm, to save the latter from the cold. That night, he dreamt of Jesus, wearing the half-cloak and saying to the angels, “Here is Martin, the Roman soldier who is now baptized; he has clothed me.” In Germany, the children celebrate this day with self-made lanterns.

17th of November – Art Düsseldorf:
From November 17 to 19, we are celebrating our premiere at Areal Boehler in Duesseldorf. At this unique venue, around 80 galleries from 21 countries will present modern and contemporary art.

By the way: MEDICA (Fair all about medicine etc) is taking place in Düsseldorf this week. So the roads might be busier than usual.
